INFORMATION – SERVICE
OFFICERS:

1. Post Service Officer: Perform
their duties under the
supervision of the Department Service
Officer
2.
2. Shall assist members of the
Post, their widows and
orphans and other veterans in
obtaining rightful
benefits from the federal and state
governments.
3.
3. Shall transmit, without delay,
all applications forms,
evidence, etc., in connection with
claims to the
Department Service Officer. It is
vital that claims
be sent to the DSO immediately upon
receipt. The
DSO will make the final decision as
to whether the
VFW will provide representation in
all cases
4. All applications and/or claims
may be filed directly
with the Department Service Officer(s).
